The Kinder Mind Project

Body work

There are various types of bodywork within ancient healing and spiritual connection practices, and traditional Thai massage is one of them. It evolved within the cultural context of the Buddhist community and was practiced by monks and nuns. Many of its components were developed to facilitate seated meditation and yoga practice. It is considered a form of meditative practice that combines acupressure, Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures.

Each breath, each movement, and each posture is an opportunity to achieve a clear intention and a state of consciousness. Working towards and in this state of consciousness allows for acute sensitivity to subtle changes in the body’s and mind’s energy, leading to a profound therapeutic effect.

When the body is unwell, the mind becomes fragile.
This is possible because our body’s energy system is made up of energy lines known as “sen.” The sen lines are a vast network of pathways capable of connecting and moving the “lom” or “prana,” a Sanskrit word meaning “life force” or “vital energy.” This vital energy enters our body through inhalation, reaches the lungs, and circulates throughout our body via the sen pathways, forming our energy system. When the sen lines are blocked, health problems such as stress, high blood pressure, and fatigue can arise.

It is a very ancient spiritual and medical practice that impacts the body, mind, and vital energy.

Each session is approached with humility and respect, working deeply, yet creting space for relaxation.
